Another post! I've been in a drawing mood tonight so I went over to drawingboard.org and did this month's drawing jam. It happened to be nude yoga poses. Very quickly done but I think they turned out pretty nifty. I have to admit that I love drawing nudes as they have all the most interesting lines and shadows.
Almost had a disaster though. One of the neighbourhood kids that plays with my daughter (they're both 8) just about wandered into the kitchen where I was drawing. I screamed, 'noooooo!' just in time. Whew. I really don't want a call from his parents asking why I'm looking at porno on the computer while he's over.

Cool. My favorite's the first one, which has an art deco-like aura (sharp edges + the flowing hair) and could easily have been a statue sculpted in the 20s.
I think these came out awsome!
I can totaly relate, as I have a nine year old stepson. I'm dreading the day he finds some of the nudes I've done and asks "What's that?" :)
I liked the first one too. I did a very fast sketch from the moniter and then went and sat down to work on the lines and shadows more with some hard lines and angles. Lots of the other people were posting softer curves but it seemed like such a great pose for a harsher take on it.
Anyhow, I see what you mean by Art Deco Melchior. Also, I think I elongated her head a bit and I keep thinking Frankie Raye as Nova when I look at her. :)
